A Mother, A daughter and an evil queen welcome you!

Ok so maybe an Evil Queen isn't necessarily welcoming you but she was part of a wonderful experience that Mum and I had during our latest visit to Disneyworld and it's a great picture of us.

Hello and welcome to Just a Bit of Love and Magic!

 

My name is Merran, the author and owner of the Just a Bit of Magic Blog and  Designs and my Mum, Susan, is the owner of Woolnlove. 

​

A little bit about Susan

Susan was born in the UK, and has been knitting since she was small. She completed her medical degree and became a GP but never lost her love of crafting.

 

Having raised three beautiful daughters, she emigrated with her husband/model (check him out in store pictures, he's actually pretty good.) to Canada. Living and working in beautiful British Columbia, Susan has continued to develop and hone her knitting skills, and loves trying new patterns especially if they include Brioche. While she continues her medical work, including working with the homeless in her local community, Susan is now also passing on her love of crafting to her grandchildren who live in the UK.

 

Using high quality yarns and applying her skills with care and love, Susan regularly creates beautiful shawls, mitts and socks as well as other types of projects.

A little bit about Merran

A bookworm and self-confessed Disney Nerd, Merran got into creating items with her cricut machine following a fairly impulsive Black Friday purchase. She also can knit but prefers to crochet, a skill she only picked up following her own move to Canada. 

​

As an Elementary teacher, Merran regularly creates custom t-shirts that will make her students and colleagues smile as well as other more meaningful projects. 

​

Taking the time to create and make each new product, Merran produces a variety of heat transfer vinyl designs, stickers and vinyl transfers.
